Strong Support for Gifted Education!

On February 22, 2011 at the state capitol in Jefferson City, Gifted Education Day was celebrated with over 500 students, parents, teachers, administrators, etc... there to support gifted education. Becky Smith opened the ceremony with on-looking supporters which completely filled the 1st floor Rotunda, and additional supporters on the 2nd and 3rd floor Rotunda balconies. We then heard from David Welch, Robin Lady, and Kyna Iman. Guest speakers were Representative Sarah Lampe, and Senator Kurt Schaefer. They spoke of the importance of serving gifted children, and Sara Lampe closed with a magnificent statement discussing that gifted education was not dead in Missouri, we are coming back, stronger than ever.
